As with the earlier LTS releases, Ubuntu committed to ongoing security and critical fixes for a period of 5 years. Jan 14, 2016 · Amongst other distros, I am running Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS. Up until today I was under the impression that Ubuntu 14.04 was supported until 2019. Not necessarily so, if you care to look at the End of Life dates here and read the small print:
