May 11, 2014 · According to this Wikipedia article, several VIA kernels, including the C3, are supported. The same list claims that the x86 architecture includes the Geode NX CPUs. And yet some ultra-lighteight distros like Puppy or Tiny Core won't even boot on these CPUs, but instead either fail with an "invalid opcode" exception or simply freeze during boot.
