So I'm running VMware Workstation 12 Player on 16.04 host. And every guest i run complains that "No 3d support is available from the host" and "Hardware graphics acceleration is not available" "Accelerate 3D graphics is checked off in the player.

Sep 01, 2012 · I can't seem to enable 3d support on vmware 9 using Ubuntu 12.04 as a guest on a window 8 box. When I install the vmware tools I get this line near the end of the install "Skipping X configuration because X drivers are not included".
