Aug 03, 2011 · I just transferred a system from W2k to XP. The DVD-RAM drive was moved over. The new machine is XP SP3. The machine does not recognize a UDF formatted DVD. (I believe the version is 2.0) Does anyone know of an XP driver that can be installed so that windows can recognize this format? Thanks Bunches. David

Jun 22, 2004 · Windows 2k has native support for reading UDF 1.50, XP probably the same, so there shouldn't be any need for writing fs device drivers as such. I'm not up to the task myself, so I don't really know UDF 2.0 and higher is not (yet) supported. One big advantage (among many others) with UDF is ofcourse the support for >2GB files.
