Jun 02, 2008 · So it happens I have some external harddrives around that are formatted with UFS2. Given that quite some code for Mac OS X originated from BSD Unix, I had some hope that there would be a driver for UFS available. During my research I even read some posts, that UFS appeared to be available as installation filesystem before HFS+ became mandatory.

Sep 16, 2016 · Long story short, my USB drive is formatted for UFS. I can't seem to mount a UFS filesystem in CentOS7. Everything I'm finding on the web is really, really old, but seems to point to support being available from kernel 2.6 onward.

Apr 07, 2017 · I'm trying to get a USB laser barcode scanner to work on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.8.2). And for some reasons, it does not work. First, I bought a Taotronics TT-BS003. When I plug it in, it does make all the sounds it should do. It scans, but it does not write anything in TextEdit. Looking at the System Information in the USB section, it shows:

It was removed in more recent versions of OS X (we're not sure in which version it disappeared — *but your best bet is to simply download a modern version of Open MPI for your modern version of OS X*).
