Sep 25, 2019 · The J hooks were of no use to me as they were A too long and B the holes in the bar did not line up with the pulls on the engine. That being said, I was able to use the provided cables to support the engine, and used a red shop towel between the cable and the metal bar, which allowed me to slide the engine side to side a bit when I needed to.4.2/5(19)

Jul 07, 2008 · i see in the shop manual for my car ('03 tib gt) that they recommend using an "engine support fixture", hyundai(?) item J28467-B. i have never used such a fixture before, but it looks like it probably just rests over the motor on the fenders, and connects to the motor, so that it will stay suspended when mounting equipment is removed.
