Sep 19, 2008 · Checked the box: Make this Task Sequence available to PXE and Boot Media" The media boots and connects to SCCM but then says "There are no task sequences for this computer." Does the "unknown computer support" feature of R2 require DHCP/PXE or can it be used with Boot Media using Static IP Addresses? Any help is much appreciated!!! Thanks, Rich

Aug 29, 2011 · R2 for SCCM introduced Unknown Computer Support (SCCM needs to be at service pack level SP1 or higher), removing the need to pre-create a record in the SCCM database for OSD. This works with PXE boot and with boot media. R2 creates two unknown system resources: x86 Unknown Computer and x64 Unknown Computer.

Feb 18, 2014 · Deployed the Task Sequence to Unknown Computers (Bootmedia and PXE (hidden) Built bootmedia with Unknown Computer support enabled (as well as the old OSD ComputerName variable) When I boot the media, I put the password in but it tells me there are no task sequence available for this computer.
