Dec 24, 2019 · Hi, I used spaceinvader's Macinabox to install a VM on my Unraid server that runs MacOS 10.11 "El Capitan". I installed using a Time Machine restoration to the OS vdisk. That booted properly and ran correctly first time. I performed a controlled shutdown and, using the Edit feature of the VM, changed memory from 4096MB to 8192MB.

While AFP definitely worked and got the job done, Apple has been working hard to add support for their backup solution to the SMB protocol. It was only recently that TimeMachine support over SMB was made available, and we wanted to waste no time getting this into a build of Unraid OS so that all of our Mac users could benefit!
