Feb 03, 2018 · You misread the message. It actually says, "Updating Boot Support Partitions for the volume as required." All it means is that Disk Utility is doing some behind the scenes maintenance to keep bootable disks bootable, and you don't have to do anything.

(No msg saying OK) The bar at the bottom is moving along - "Verify and Repair volume [VOLUME NAME]". Hard drive appears to be churning, off and on, slow & fast, etc.
