Nov 18, 2012 · I was going to file a bug report/feature request on the subject, but I want to double check that there is no insurmountable technical reason why VLC will not play mkv files over upnp. I know mkv is not a part of the dlna standard, but as I understand it, upnp is not limited to dlna formats.
