Re: USB Keyboard with DOS? It sounds like the bios has a USB driver that works okay but knoppix and Caldera are trying to install and use a different driver. I don't know Caldera DOS well enough, but is there a way to keep it from doing the USB check, thereby leaving it to use the bios driver?

Modern BIOSes will support both USB keyboard and USB mouse, because you would not be able to use them in the BIOS setup otherwise. Sometimes you will have to enable something like USB legacy support to activate the built-in drivers of the BIOS.

Jul 29, 2012 · You might try enabling low level USB support in the computers bios. Look for something like legacy USB,USB for DOS or USB keyboard and mouse support. Don't know if that will help as DOS just doesn't have USB support. But it's worth a try.
