May 23, 2016 · I had a label printer with a parallel port connected with a USB to Parallel cable working perfectly in Windows 7. The cable is an ATEN UC-1248B. Now Windows 10 recognises the cable BUT does recognise the printer - it says no printer attached. I went out and bought a generic USB to Parallel Printer cable and it too gives me the same problem.
