Jul 15, 2013 · Hey guys, if you have since figured a way to install dos 6.22 from floppies in a usb 3.5 floppy to an external IDE HDD connected via an adapter (both connected to a laptop) I sure would appreciate it. I got a medical device that uses IDE HDD's loaded with proprietary software on dos 6.22 and want to have backups available. Thanks in advance!

I just purchaced a USB 2.0 Drive Kit at COSCO. I placed an IDE hard drive in it with all the images of PCs that I GHOST on a regular basis. Thanks to all the info provided on your website, I can now boot in DOS with USB support. I then run my GHOST floppy, and choose the correct image from the "USB Hard Drive". I no longer need multiple CDs...

Aug 20, 2008 · boot DOS from USB. It works great, even with old MS-DOS 6.22. After booting the USB device it's seen like a harddisk and you don't need to load any drivers. With such a bootable USB you could backup whatever you want. But USB booting doesn't work on all hardware also. If booting from USB works then it's easyer then fighing with the DOS USB drivers.
