Dec 16, 2008 · There are quite few threads relating to ESX 3.0/3.5 and the Service Console support for USB devices so I do not want to re-collect info here. Since SC is really version of Red Hat Linux, USB support is in-built. (Although not for individual Virtual Machine guests granted.)

Jan 10, 2008 · In a word No. ESX has no USB support. however RDP doe have device redirection and can read and attatch to things like USB storage devices and Printers, for things like scanning (Twain redirection) it is best to either use a dedicated scanning workstation.
