The Vatican did NOT favor the south for the slavery. Also, the Vatican never actual said that it SUPPORTED the confederacy.

Sep 16, 2012 · Nope, I'd pass on the "eat nails" meal if it could be proven without a doubt, and with an actual historical source, that the Vatican recognized the Confederacy. Honest.:) Unionblue Is it in the National Archives? Some documents didn't surface til 40-50 years after the war.
