Feb 18, 2019 · The issue I'm seeing is that when I launch bash, either indirectly via cmd.exe or directly via the bash launcher, conpty seems to swallow the mouse reporting escape sequences; I don't see them being received by my terminal parser, and thus vim has no effective mouse support despite being configured with set mouse=a.

I usually use Vim for command line text file editing. Some days ago, probably due to a change in /etc/vimrc after a system update, the behavior of the mouse changed. Selecting some text with the mouse automatically enter visual mode. I rarely use the visual feature and when I use it I prefer using the v keyboard command.
