I've been on Virgin Boradband for a few weeks now. The service is great, but the support is terrible. I've just found out that Virgin do newsgroups, which would allow me to download files through anoehr method other than torrents, but I have no idea how to set it up.

I remember previous discussions about throttling taking place on virgin media connections if you went over a certain data amount between certain hours So I have x2 questions 1) Is general throttling still taking place? 2) Is there throttling in place on newsgroups?

Feb 26, 2013 · Several support requests have come in recently regarding SABnzbd being "slow" for some users . . . who all just happen to be on Virgin Media Broadband in the UK. These issues have nothing to do with SABnzbd, and everything to do with Virgin throttling traffic on ports 119 and 563, regardless of if you're running SSL or not.
