Oct 01, 2019 · Hi there These things work perfectly -- I also use USB3-->SATA (standard sata) adapters for connecting SSD's to computer USB 3 ports as external drives -- USB3 speed is perfectly acceptable on these devices - don't throw away older cheaper sata SSD drives --they make excellent backup / storage media and are far better than say using usb thumbsticks for external data.
