I am trying to format a USB ATA Hard Disk (250GB) with FAT32 but Vista does not allow me. Does anybody know why? I have another USB 300GB hard disk that was already formatted with FAT32 and I can use it with this laptop with no problem.

    Aug 22, 2007 · The first, and obvious solution was to make Vista run from an FAT32 drive, because EFI does support booting a FAT32 partition. A second reason you might want to have it as FAT32 is that MAC OS X doesn't have a Write/Read driver for NTFS filesystems.
