Jul 11, 2010 · It almost sounds as if you're not using the DosBox links provided, but trying to run duke3d.exe directly. Use the DosBox shell links provided by the GoG installer. DosBox should allow the game to run fullscreen.

Apr 23, 2011 · In XP you can toggle this mode by pressing Alt+Enter. Doing that in Vista just gets you a message “This system does not support full-screen mode”. And it’s true; the Windows Vista Display Driver Model (WDDM) precludes support of the necessary video mode. There is a kind of solution, and it’s even recommended by Microsoft.

Right click on the icon, select 'Compatibility', tick Run this program in compatibility mode for...and start with XP. If that doesn't work, move down the line. Or conversely, you can just tick 'Run in 640x480 screen resolution to see it that at least gets the game to run.
