Apr 17, 2018 · 1) Single comment line support. 2) math libraries.. 3) String operations etc. MS has gradually added C99 support to the compilers with each new release of Visual Studio. To get the fullest level of support you obviously need to use the latest version of VS (2017).

Visual Studio has various types of support for PHP through the links, tools, and projects listed here but not "native" support (meaning install just Visual Studio and be able to create PHP projectsa and websites). WebMatrix, another Microsoft product (free) does have native support.

May 04, 2012 · While it is true that Visual Studio 2010 doesn't support PHP natively. Check out Phalanger... an open source project that allows you to create, edit, and run PHP from within Visual Studio. It compiles a PHP script down to C# for running on the server. Impressive performance is touted by the project team.
