Jun 16, 2016 · I was still not able to open site collection URL in SharePoint Designer, This is because I am opening this from Office Network and probably my office firewall is blocking that URL to open in SPD. Hence I tried to open this in my Client's machine (Remote machine ) which is not in my Office network and I was able to open it successfully.
