The solution is to run the vm-support command with the -w option to designate a vmfs volume (datastore) with sufficient spare capacity to store the data files (5 GB would be more than enough). After the data has been collected and uploaded to support then the data should be removed from the datastore. For assistance please contact VMware support.

No1 in the right mind would go out and buy a eurovox and pay upto 5 times more to do the same thing. Im my eyes, any1 who buys a eurovox/starview/dbox etc is buying it for 1 reason and 1 reason only...

May 24, 2011 · You can eventually use the plink.exe command from the PuTTY Suite and set up a SSH connection to the COS (for ESX) or the Remote Tech Support (ESXi). From the SSH session you cna start the vm-tools command and with pscp.exe you can get the resulting file to your PC.
