Feb 18, 2010 · No point in using a DAG with two nodes on the same piece of hardware (one VMWare host) because you're still screwed if the host goes down. I have a DAG and one node runs on hardware, the other is on VMWare ESXi 4.0 and its running no problem at all. As the others have mentioned, don't use E2010 H/A features AND Vmware H/A features in combination.

The Exchange 2010 UM role is the only role not supported in a virtual environment (it still works if you want to try it, just not supported by MS!)
