Jan 15, 2017 · I have had the same problem as a lot of people. Since being force upgraded from VMWare Player to VMWare Workstation Player I have not been able to connect Workstation Player to my LPT dongle. I have tried everything suggested here and elsewhere but it does not work. Everything I've tried, Workstation Play will simply not install WMParport.sys.
