Jul 22, 2013 · I've been upgrading an older box in the rack and have become skooled on the shortcomings of the motherboard's software-RAID. So, the next step is to buy a Hardware RAID controller for this project. There seem to be a plethora of controllers in the VMware HCL, Unfortunately I haven't found one at a retailer that is also on the list.
