For your first point: Cryptomator can only report POISX errorcodes back to the system (like 'ENOENT`) and can't control how the osxfuse driver or macOS is handeling them. The only optional thing is to write a message into the log.

Sep 28, 2016 · Native NTFS does not support symlinks. These are emulated with WSL by setting some file attribute (I think) and then add the target of the link in the file. CIFS/SMB on linux does something similar for emulating symlinks (see here), so does cygwin, as far as I know. MinGW handles symlinks different again.

I've got three ubuntu machines on a client's office because it's an open source SO, and it's not able to do such a simple task. FFS. ...
