Oct 30, 2013 · Once you get the tranny out you can put the engine bar on and it will hold the engine in place and not damage the motor mounts from the engine sagging. Or on a timing belt job it would support the engine when the motor mount bracket is removed. Like you said, you can just support the engine from down low with a jack and block of wood.
