I have a Western Digital "My Book 1130" 3tb external hard drive.I have reloaded Windows 7 Ultimate twice. The reloads were not related to the use of this drive. My problem seems to be Windows,no matter what the actual problem starts out to be. Windows Back Up will not work on this WD drive even if I set it up for just my admin account only.
