    Nov 02, 2012 · IMHO it looks that the SL7V3 (Pentium M 765) has a CPUID 06D6h and, contrary to what Intel shows in the link I mentioned, doesn’t have NX/PAE support. The SL7SL (Pentium M 770) has CPUID 06D8h and NX/PAE support. I placed a Pentium M 715 in a Intel 915 chipset (where a M 770 has NX/PAE support) and it didn’t show NX/PAE.

The Banias family processors internally support Physical Address Extension (PAE) but do not show the PAE support flag in their CPUID information; this causes some operating systems (primarily Linux distributions) to refuse to boot on such processors since PAE support is required in their kernels.Cores: 1

Intel VT physical addresses and PAE

    https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/virtualization-software-development/topic/295904
Intel VT contains instructions which takes a memory operand containing a 64-bit physical address. On Intel 64 capable processors, the docs states that bits 63:MAXPHYSADDR must be zero, which is correct. But on 32-bit only processors, the docs states that bits 63:32 must be zero, which would be correct, except that all of the 32-bit only processors that have VT extensions also support PAE, so ...
