Nov 27, 2009 · For a host of reasons Belfast Celtic ceased to exist around 1948 and allegiance moved from Belfast Celtic supporters to Glasgow Celtic. I know many Celtic supporters and none of them claim to be Irish though some do have Irish roots. They are proud to be Scottish and rightly so.
