I've found some incomplete lists that have some games, but since we're nearing the end of Wii with Wii U right around the corner you would think a definitive list would exist somewhere. I'm talking true widescreen modes like Twilight Princess Wii, not just a stretched out 4:3 turned into anamorphic widescreen.

Aug 19, 2017 · Okay: followed the homebrew guide for my Wii U. Everything's installed perfectly, but I don't know how to set up widescreen support in USB Loader GX. Sep 04, 2009 · none of these older games support 16x9 natively. there was no concept of a 16x9 signal back when they were made (over rf, composite or super-video cables). even 480p isn't a widescreen format by definition. the game can render with an aspect ratio that makes a 4:3 screen look correct when stretched to 16x9 at 480p (like god of war 1 and 2) but it's still only rendering a 4:3 screen worth of ...

    https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/631516-wii-u/74703099
Does the game not support widescreen? The Wii didn't really have true widescreen support, hence why it had a message saying to force the TV to 16:9 when turning it on. But the Wii U does, so that may make a difference. The only game I have that I know doesn't support widescreen is Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. But I'm not sure where it is at the ...
