    Aug 01, 2014 · I thought that z87 would not be compatible with Broadwell because of the chip having a different number of pins or something. So the z87 & z97 would be compatible with Haswell & Haswell Refresh, but Broadwell would be limited to z97 and whatever new chipset comes out for it.
