Jan 01, 2013 · Windows 7 doesn't implement STP. Most switch gear doesn't support spanning tree until you get up to SMB level and have management interfaces. Ie the $50 linksys box is dumb out of the box. Windows bridging is (supposed to be) the same as throwing a patch cable between the 2 ports.
