According to the help file of my 9.6.0.1014 install of Intel RST it supports TRIM for RAID arrays. Although it's in Swedish, a rough translation follows: RAID-activated systems [Some standard features] Our software also supports the following: [another feature] • TRIM (Microsoft Windows 7* only) This function supports SSD according to ATA-8.

In Windows 7, it will actually run defrag, not TRIM, an SSD. In Windows 8, it recognizes SSDs, and runs a TRIM job, not defrag. Yes, Windows 7 can and will TRIM your SSD without using this utility. The point is that in Windows 8, when you want to schedule the Defrag and Optimize utility, it will run the correct job according to the drive type.

Sep 12, 2016 · I managed to boot in to windows but figured out that trim isn't enabled for my ssd. I've updated to the latest driver but it doesn't seem to be fixed either. I heard Intel has trim support via their RST drivers. Do AMD has trim support for their raid drivers or any kind of software that do support it?Reviews: 20

Jun 19, 2014 · Hi, Does Windows 8.1 offer support for TRIM on a 2xSSD Raid 0 without using the Intel Raid software? I have a PCIe SSD with two M.2 chips in RAID 0. The manual says it supports Raid but the OS has to support it for it work. Thank you. David
