Nov 17, 2017 · What I experienced is that Windows is not able to mount webdav volumes behind a Reverse Proxy and SSL Because the SNI (Server Name Indication) is still not supported by the Windows Explorer (not like Internet Explorer, which does support SNI).

I recently bought a new Windows 8 laptop, running Excel 2010 and now I can't get access to the same external data. Apparently Basic Authentication for WebDAV on Windows 8 is not by default enabled. Searching the internet I only find solutions to enable Basic Authentication for WebDAV for windows version older than Windows 8.

In my case the problem it’s not only related to provide the credentials again, has I would normally do by setting up the Webdav from file explorer, in my case is that every time I restart the machine I need to reconfigure the whole Webdav connection again, so it’s even worst, I have no idea on how to fix this, I’ve used Opendrive has a Webdav service before and I did not got these issues ...
