Apr 22, 2013 · I recently purchased two new LG monitors (29EA93-P and 27EA83-D). Their specs say they are HDCP capable. The Nvidia control panel application says they are and that HDCP is working with the connection between the video card and monitor. However, Windows Media Center (Windows 8) refuses to allow me to watch encrypted content (HBO, Showtime).

I am playing a digital tv broadcast on Windows Media Center for Windows 7. I built this system so it works with HDCP, and in fact I have been able to watch tv and bluray before with this same computer.

Apr 02, 2014 · According to this, the monitor has a DVI port that is HDCP compliant. Nevermind, wrong model number (close though) Additionally, if the monitor was not HDCP compliant, the problem wouldn't be fixed by resizing WMC. I've seen a number of people with this problem and solution, but I can't recall ever seeing anyone figure out why it happens.

Jul 23, 2014 · It has the Intel HD5000 chipset and I've updated all of the drivers. I am running Windows 8.1 which I think is part of the problem. I have the HDhomerun Prime and it works fine on my Ivy Bridge Desktop computer which is also running Windows 8.1. However, the NUC often pops up with a warning that "HDCP support is required".
