Mar 30, 2013 · After getting a brand new media center PC with a nice integrated blu-ray drive, I am dismayed at the lack of support media center or other third party software has for blu-ray on a PC. Power DVD that comes with the blu-ray drive is shockingly awful and unfit for purpose. Placing a disc into the drive exits media center and loads Power DVD.

Dec 04, 2011 · The easiest way to watch Blu-ray movies is with PowerDVD 11 in Windows. All you need to do is to get the free 30 trial of PowerDVD 11 and install it to your computer. It automatically installs a plugin for Windows Media Center, too. Once you launch WMC, simply select Cyberlink PowerDVD 11 and select “Play Blu-ray Disc”.

Nov 26, 2015 · Is any one else just a little annoyed that given that Media Center is now a paid for add on (albeit free for a limited time at Win8 launch) that it does not include support for Blu-ray playback? I mean seriously this is so friggin' annoying. Any MS people willing to get this added?

Jan 24, 2010 · The blu ray files show up in windows media center library and when I click on them they play sort of. Some movies go straight into the movie, other movies try to load the menu but the menu is missing or has no functionality and won't play. It appears there is an issue with the blu ray files not working with each other correctly.
