Can anyone point to a resource explaining how come RAID array and Virtual Disks are visible during the POST and OS booting fine without any pre-loaded RAID drivers, while WinPE cannot see a damn thing without pre-loaded drivers? The problem was with BartPE - it didn't see my raid volumes, so there was no option to restore a backup file to it's original location. We are trying to build a standard Windows server 2008 image that can be installed in any System, by providing a system dependant unattend.xml file. As a test first I have generate an unattend.xml file using WAIK. Then I have generate a WinPe boot disk.
