    I am realizing that this card (an AOpen model AW-850) is not on the Windows Vista HCL, there are no Windows Vista drivers for it anywhere on the internet, and it was an inexpensive card anyway. It behooves me to just break down and buy a new card that IS on the HCL.

Like I said, the device shows up, but will not install. From what I have read, it seems that Windows 8 isn't going to support it (MIDI) any time soon. Anyone have any more information on this?
