    Apr 13, 2012 · Hi, I am using MSWindows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 on HP ProBook 6555b. The machiene has an inbuilt bluetooth device. Under Device Manager I can see - Bluetooth Devices > HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless Technology. However under services (services.msc) I do not see any Bluetooth Support service.

    I recently bought a USB adapter. When i plugged it in on my computer, it installed the driver fine and it shows up in the device manager as a bluetooth device. However, there is no Bluetooth icon in the control panel and when i look in the services.msc, the "bluetooth support service" is not present at all, like not even on the list. Any ideas?

    Jun 01, 2011 · I do not use any Bluetooth devices - I uninstalled the windows 7 bluetooth software. I was then able to stop the bluetooth support service - and I can now view printers. So I stopped both Bluetooth services, and it fixed the issues. Question - understand it is a part of the networking stack.
