Jan 01, 2015 · I have a Windows XP SP3 machine that is currently showing only one core in the Task Manager. The processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz. I thought this issue was supposed to have been resolved with SP3, but I guess not. The computer was built with a clean install of Windows Home edition, then upgraded to SP3.

I know it may be too late now, but I think releasing the SP3 without IE7 would be a missed good opportunity of having a complete XP (the guys from SaveTheDevelopers.org would agree, hehe). Best regards and thank for your time.

May 08, 2015 · It is confirmed that Sager (as well as many other OEMs) DOES NOT configure this hotfix for their Dual Core notebooks (and desktops from other OEMs). Sager's response.-Special thanks to Kilim. Make sure that the pre-installed OS (Windows XP w/ Service Pack 2) was correctly modified to fully support your dual core CPU.
