Apr 26, 2011 · Recent 7-Zip comes without the 7zip_pad.xml. This breaks version detection. Try Application specific installation as shown in attached screenshot. WinMerge source code has been updated to no longer require the 7zip_pad.xml, but no release has been created since then.
