Dec 21, 2007 · Hello, OK, the summary can't be in Unicode, only the UI, and people with the CJK version of XP will not be able to use it, anyway. Besides, it's not officially supported (although I can't really imagine any other way but to make it supported).

Aug 11, 2008 · Hi, Iâ019m using WIX 2 to create a MSI setup package for German users, so texts contain special Unicode characters like 'ö' and 'ü'. The encoding of my "wxs" file is "UTF-8 with signature", but unfortunately candle.exe (2.0.5325.0) creates question marks (?) instead of these characters in MSI texts.

If system default code page (for = non-unicode applications) is not 1252, 65001 is not available, which = means CJK Windows does not recognize 65001. I am still wondering why MSI does not support unicode database in the = current version, if even MSI 3.0 or later does not support non-unicode = based operating systems - Windows 9x.
