Feb 05, 2018 · Unfortunately, WMDC is out of support since 2012 and hence Microsoft does not have any avenue to provide support for this product. Here is link to WMDC’s support lifecycle for your reference. I would suggest . Testing this scenario with Windows 10 compatibility mode; Contacting OEM of the mobile devices/guns for additional support.

Feb 14, 2019 · This is the solution from Trimble support: "The last Windows 10 update screwed up the connection of Windows Mobile devices to Windows Mobile device center (WMDC). Here’s the work around, it’s not perfect but it does work most of the time. The user must have admin rights on the workstation this being applied to.Reviews: 2

Per Trimble Support – “We have heard of this issue and our Mobile Computing Systems team is working on it vigorously.” Right now, it looks like it is the Windows 10 Creators Update (KB4015583) that will not function with Windows Mobile device Center.

Oct 31, 2017 · Trying to install WMDC on a newly imaged Windows 7 laptop. I have to support Windows Mobile 6.5 devices, and my new laptop won't let WMDC be installed. After installing drvupdate-amd64.exe (12749kb), I only see the "Windows Mobile Device Center Driver Update" under Programs and Features. No "Windows Mobile Device Center".
