Jan 16, 2017 · umm bro there is u just need to type in the console "exec default_controller.cfg" and it will start supporting xbox 360 controller and will load default controls for 360 controller you can edit the control by the games normal menu You don't need to open the link, this answer is 100 percent correct, source is I use this process myself.

There's no in game support for any controllers or game pads for this game on the PC. It sucks when they say it's compatible because it makes it sound like there is native support. If you have an XBOX 360 wireless controller hooked up into your PC and want to use it for COD5 all you need to do is install patch 1.6*, enable the console in your game, and type this command. exec default_controller.cfg. You will need to do this in your SOLO and MULTIPLAYER configurations.
