Feb 03, 2010 · The cvar 'processAffinityMask' controls which CPU cores are available for the World of Warcraft client to use. Previously the game client was limited to 2 cores as a default which players could override in the configuration file. In the past this provided a performance boost on some CPUs and operating systems.

Dec 01, 2010 · From everything I have read, yes. Although I do have a quadcore I have never tested to see if WoW in fact uses only one, but everything I have read indicates so. Yes, since 2007, from patch 2.01. It uses effectively 3 cores, so more than 4 is wasted in most cases. In a nutshell wrong. WoW …
