Feb 04, 2017 · DSiware and pretty much all DS games that came out after 2010 support WPA/WPA2 if you play them on a DSi or 3DS. Don't believe anybody who tells you otherwise. If you were to make a homebrew that would support WPA/WPA2 you'd have to make it able to run in DSi mode.

Apr 20, 2012 · As the others have said above, the DSi and 3DS systems support WPA(2). However, they also require DSi Enhanced games to be able to connect to the newer encryption standards. I'm not sure if all DSi Enhanced games support WPA(2), but I assume that's the case.

If you are playing a Nintendo DSi-enhanced Game Card, it will work with WPA security. To determine if your game is a Nintendo DSi-enhanced title the product code at the bottom of the game card will begin with TWL instead of NTR. It will not be compatible with WPA security while being played on a Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite.
