Aug 18, 2008 · Just mailed off back my 2x wrt610n back. I decided that the wrt310n was such a good deal and couldn't wait for the development of dd-wrt for the wrt610n. Would have been nice to have 5ghz range, but that's fine. It'll be interesting since I need to setup WDS network since I need to replace my two aging wrt54g v2/3.

Jul 19, 2009 · I guess I'm going to try the link you posted RedHawk. Still having issues with a WRT310N dropping the WDS connection repeatedly on 12476 (see the actual 12476 thread for that). A old rev worked fine but my speed was stuck at 130. New rev gets full 270 between WDS nodes and to connected machines but drops the WDS repeatedly. Maybe NEWD-2 will help.

WDS is generally just for bridging the two so that a wireless LAN on either end con extend itself wirelessly. WDS with AP is a setting I think you are seeking in order to link or bridge the two and allow them to act as access oints as well.
