Let me understand ... you mean that WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE is not a part number that can be quoted individually by Cisco, that means that Cisco sales WS-X6K-S2-MSFC2 as a sort of bundle, that includes: a WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE, a WS-F6K-PFC2 and a WS-F6K-MSFC2.

Re: End of Life for 6509 End of life is generally regarded as the date of the last day of support. Yes you can wait and you can upgrade only parts of your setup if you like ie. you could upgrade the supervisors (which may well require a new fan and power supplies) and keep the chassis.
